Momento Mori Mourning Ring Boxed. Glazed Verso Relic Compartment Chester 1904. This is a stunning antique momento mori mourning ring made from 15CT yellow gold with thick black enamelling to the front.

The ring has'star' set detail with natural pearls to the front. This ring is antique and in very good condition for a ring of this age, there is some slight enamel loss but not enough to spoil the rings overall appearance. The pearls are lovely and still have a nice aged lustre and the ring has the benefit of having full English hallmarks for Chester, dating 1904-05. The makers mark is rubbed but possibly attributed to'William Hayes', there is also a relic compartment to the rear inside of the front of the ring which is intact with the original glass. This is a lovely ring and has a good weight of 3.7 grams and comes in its original box which is included as shown in the photos. The last two pictures taken in daylight.
