A 19th century mourning brooch, enamelled with encased hair. 2.1cm wide, 1.7cm high, 3 grams weight. Yellow gold, untested but in my opinion gold. Engraved Mary Clark, Died 17 June, 1837, Aged 40 Years. Please see photographs for condition, very nice condition.The front scrolling frame around hair is gold plated and has a small amount of wear under very close inspection.
