In very good condition, a Georgian mourning ring. Unusually , for the period , it is marked for 18ct gold and has a Georgian duty mark.
No date letter but the inscription dates it to 1825. A thickly glazed locket case to the centre, a little worse for wear as this is bit that protrudes the most. Then a halo of seed pearls set in gold beading. This is surrounded by black enamel. Then a frilled edging of chased gold. Pretty blue and red enamel flowers adorn the shoulders. The shank is covered with beautiful chased decoration. Head height 0.54 inch.
