A pretty antique Victorian 18K gold black enamel and pearl mourning ring, hallmarked to 1868. This lovely Victorian solid 18K yellow gold mourning ring has a gently tapering band covered in black enamel and decorated with three silvery bezel set split pearls with the words'In Memoriam' in gold set into the enamel, the ends with beautiful enameled fleur-de-lys. The ring has full English hallmarks with maker'A. A', the crown for gold,'18', the Birmingham anchor, date letter'T' for 1868 and Queen Victoria's head profile. The ring tests for 18K gold. The ring is approximately a size 6 3/4. The ring measures approximately 32mm around the enamel. The band is about 5mm wide at the front tapering down to 2mm at the back. The large pearl measures about 4mm across, the small pearls about 3mm across.

The ring rises about 2mm above the finger. The ring has a weight of approximately 2.0 grams. The ring is in general very good condition with some wear to the front of the enamel plaque and some losses to the ends of the enamel plaque. The pearls are in excellent condition.
