Beautiful Victorian Quality 9ct Gold, Black Enamel & Seed Pearl Locket. Here is a really beautiful victorian 9ct gold, black enamel & seed pearl locket. The locket measures nearly one & a quarter inches by one & a half inches excluding the bail & made of 9ct gold, although not marked where i can see, tested & guarranteed of 9ct gold if not higher.

This locket is really beautiful quality which is black enamelled to the front & back with gold laurel leaves as a border to the centre & then a typical silver star centre which is inset with a real white seed pearl. The locket nicely opens up with gold balls to the side & opens to put photos in either side & it does have a glass innards to one side & has two pics in their at the moment with a floral picure & a victorian gentleman. This locket clicks shut nicely & comes complete with iys gold bail & dates clearly to the victorian era & could either be used as a mourning locket or just as a locket as its really lovely quality & with age there is slight loss to the enamel at the very edge of the front, but this is very hard to see & on the back at the top of the locket it has a chip out & shows blue enamel, please study pics, but i dont think this detracts. However a really lovely antique locket in very good origional condition as stated & such a lovely quality example of these. I love antique jewellery, so hope that you to can appreciate my items, that have been pre loved with history.
