Pretty Antique Georgian 18K Gold Black Enamel Pearl Hair Floral Mourning Ring S8

  

A wonderful antique late Georgian 18K yellow gold, black enamel, pearl, crystal and hair mourning ring dating to the circa 1830. This marvelous mourning ring has a wonderful look with a central black enamel plaque with floral petal edges inlaid with a frame of glowing white seed pearls and with a crystal panel covering finely woven light brown hair and all set in a solid 18K gold setting with beautiful etched and carved flared floral shoulders and with a typical Georgian reeded band. The ring is approximately a size 8. The enamel plaque measures approximately 12mm x 9mm. The seed pearls are each about 2mm across.

The ring has a total weight of approximately 2.7 grams. The ring is in very good condition with light wear to the enamel and a tiny split to the top of one of the central shoulder supports only seen under a loupe.
