High quality and finely crafted. This is an absolutely gorgeous, solid 10K yellow gold locket that has been beautifully engraved on one side with a floral motif and textured spirals radiating out from the design.

The other side of the locket is textured, engraved and accented with black enamel that forms lovely volutes and spirals. The use of the black enamel along with the piece being a Victorian locket, suggest that it can be classified as mourning jewelry, made popular by Queen Victoria. Who wore black mourning clothes and jewelry for decades after the death of her husband, Prince Albert.

The locket is empty, but can be opened to reveal what would have been utilized as space for a photograph or hair of a loved one. There is some minor enamel loss due to the age of the piece.

The attached, solid 10K yellow gold pendant bail can accommodate your favorite chain up to 4.3mm. Measures over 1 3/8" (36.01mm) long and nearly 1 1/8" (28.12mm) wide. Weighs 12.1 grams (over 1/3 Troy ounce). Arrives in an attractive gift box. All items carefully described to the best of our ability.
