Vintage Art Deco 14K GOLD, Platinum, Diamonds, & Black Enamel Ladies Compact Set. Lipstick Size : 1.55 Inches Tall. Total Weight : 81.4 Grams. Weight without Inserts : 76 Grams. For sale is a truly remarkable art deco era compact set that is made of solid 14k gold with black enamel. The compact is comprised of a mirror, a metal insert marked Charmant Inc. Rachel, LH1500, and a Givenchy powder that was likely added later. Attached to the compact is a lipstick holder, with the remnants of some lipstick that freely moves up and down, and a beautiful chain with a ring for your finger on the end to hold onto the set better. The compact, lipstick holder, chain, and ring are all made of solid 14k gold with black enamel over it. The top of the compact and lipstick both feature platinum and diamonds which really makes the set stand out. Other gold compact sets of the period by Tiffany and Cartier have this same platinum and diamond design, but this set does not have any maker's marks that I could find. Both the rim of the compact and lipstick holder are fully hallmarked "14K" and have been tested.

I took the extra inserts out of the compact, and the total weight ended up being 76 grams, which includes the small mirror and the black enamel. I truly do not believe the black enamel to weigh very much, as from my experience it is usually pretty thin and light weight compared to the heavy metal of gold. Condition : This set is in excellent condition, except for a small amount of wear to the black enamel on the top of the lipstick (seen in the glare of the light in picture #7). This can be seen only when you are truly looking for it, as you can see in the other pictures it just blends in with the black enamel.

Other than that, there's just a few very light and tiny scratches that aren't noticeable (only mentioned for complete accuracy). Please feel free to message me for more pictures as I have many more!
