Here is an antique 18ct solid gold mourning ring, the front is a navette shape lozenge of black enamel with seed pearls forming a crucifix / cross pattern which sits at an angle. This antique ring is fully hallmarked for Chester 18ct gold, and dated 1911. The makers mark is WGM. The ring is yellow gold and the shank is quite wide at the shoulders, graduating down to a thinner shank at the back. It is a UK size L.1/2, and a US size 6. The front mount measures approx 13mm long x 7mm. It weighs a total of 3.8 grams. A nice unusual mourning ring. In overall good condition with only minimal age and use wear to the gold surface but please be aware there are some tiny flake chips on the enamel, but it's not down to the gold underneath, plus minor scuffs. One end Pearl has worn down past the top layer of nacre.
