Antique Enameled 14K Gold Black Onyx & Seed Pearl Mourning Brooch 1.75 13 Grams. This fine quality, "door-knocker" style mourning brooch is meticulously crafted in 14k yellow gold and black onyx, with split seed pearls and black enameled highlights. The top of the circa 1890's brooch has a pair of pearls in enameled bezels, a channel of smaller pearls with enameled borders, and is securely attached to the beautifully shaped drop via a pair of heavy hinges. The drop has a graceful arrangement of applied gold ornaments and more pearls, and both pieces have large gold back-plates, the top also having a sturdy pin-back.

In excellent condition, the gold tests positive for 14k and the brooch measures 1 3/4 x 1 1/2-inches and weighs 13.3 grams.
