A 15 ct gold (tested) mourning brooch with foliate engraved gold rim , black enamel and a central locket compartment surrounded by well matched seed pearls and beadwork. Excellent hinge and C catch.

Size 0.7 x 0.9 inch. In memory of Isaac Lowdell who died in 1831, aged 80.

Lovely piece, workmanship & history. Isaac came from the East Grinstead area.
