Antique Georgian Gold, Black Enamel & Pearl Memorial mourning Brooch/Pin

  

A really lovely Georgian memorial Brooch the inscription dates it to 1841. A layer of silvery white pearls surrounds the locket.

These are edged in beaded gold. Then a band of black enamel edged in plain gold. All pearls match in size and colour and are in good condition. All unmarked, testing as 15 ct gold. Size 1.3 by 1.1 inch.

In remarkable condition, it could have walked out of the jewellers new today. All photos are considerably enlarged.
