Antique Victorian 9ct Gold Black Enamel Glass Locket Mourning Ring with Woven Hair / Size O or 7.5. A beautiful solid 9ct yellow gold ring, an original antique Victorian piece of mourning jewellery circa 1870. This ring is a locket style with a glass panel to the front, it is adorned with black enamel details around the glass. The shoulders of the ring have gold panels which are engraved with ivy leaves.

In the Victorian language of flowers, ivy leaves sumbolise everlasting love. The ring has finely woven brown hair worked in all the way around the band. This ring was most likely made to honour the life of a loved one.

A beautiful one of a kind piece of historical antique jewellery. Size O (a medium large finger size).

Due to the band style of this ring, it will likely fit snugly and may be better suited for a slightly smaller ring size than it measures. Unmarked, tests as solid gold of at least 9ct.

The ring weighs 2 grams. The face of the ring measures 10 x 9 mms. The glass panel is secuely in place, we have notattempted to remove it, but it can most likely be gently removed if desired, by using a small pin to gently pry it out of the outer frame. In really good antique condition with only some light signs of wear. There is some light tarnish and surface wear, and minor enamel loss in places.
