Victorian 15ct Gold Memorial Mourning Ring Enamel Pearl Cross
A 15ct gold mourning/memorial ring. Assay marks for Birmingham and 15ct gold. The date letter has been worn but the makers mark remains- EDW for Edward D Wilmot, which dates the ring as being from the 1880's. The head is oval with a black enamel (scratching to the enamel surface) surrounding a gold cross set with white seed pearls. All pearls look to be original with no spalling.
The shoulders are a delight with black enamel curliques and diamonds and gold engraving. The size is M 1/2 (UK) : 6 1/4 (US). The weight is 2.00 gms.
