Victorian 18ct Gold Bloodstone Bonbonierre Enamel Egg c. 1890

  

A Victorian Bonbonierre, constructed with two carved bloodstones as hollowed domes, forming an egg. Encased in ornate 18ct gold repoussé work. Scrolling acanthus leaves, roses and birds. The circumference of the egg, with white enamel trim featuring the following text.
