Victorian 9 Carat Gold Mourning Brooch With Black Enamel & Seed Pearl Decoration. The brooch itself is in excellent antique condition, however the pin to the rear is broken. This can be easily replaced, however I only sell my items in the original condition I receive them, as some buyers prefer original replacements and others modern. There are also many buyers who repurpose, so I leave my items as found. This is a beautiful brooch, with a lot of history and character.

If you like items to be as new, this unfortunately, will not be right for you. This type of piece would have been the height of fashion. It showed sympathy for Victoria mourning the loss of Albert.

41mm x 7mm (1 & 5/8" x 1/4"). Comes gift boxed, but not in the original box.

I have given it a quick wipe over, but as with all my items I don't over clean or polish. There may be the odd age related wear/mark commensurate with age.
