This antique pendant - brooch has a protuberant gold dome with a pattern of fleurs-de-lis, leaves or feathers and scrollwork with confronting volutes in black taille d'épargne enameling, an elegantly shaped body with a textural surface and a gold ball finial, a pair of articulated coral drops on each side and a lively, eleven-strand gold fringe on the bottom.

The coral beads are hand-cut and measure 5.5 to 6-mm, the fringe is made from eleven graduated, spiral-carved lengths of solid gold wire that resolve as coiled gold to the eye, and there is a soldered bail behind the finial for wearing as a pendant and a locking pin-back with a tube hinge and a protuberant pin.
